I got so far when installing... and then my disc 3 wouldn't work... upon closer inspection... the data layer is screwed... midnight release for a faulty installation... I guess what I'm asking is, is there a way to make origin download the remainder of the install without having to start over... or is there a disk 3 iso anywhere?

Pretty sure the physical came with a key that can be entered into Origin. I have a feeling you'll have to start the install from scratch though.

=\ I've already begun the download...

I'm really displeased that I keep getting the bad end of electronics lately. (PS4 purchased from the same gamestop died less than 24 hrs after purchase) I don't blame gamestop, It's the distributor... but I already know what will happen when I go to ask for some kind of compensation. "you technically purchased the key not the discs" and that will be it. (local gamestop is notorious for not wanting to get their hands dirty to help a customer) While I understand this... they don't understand that I got it from them so I wouldn't have to wait 6 hours to download the game, whatever... bad luck I guess.

    Thank you for the advice.

Well I don't know what your local laws are but generally if there's a manufacturing fault you're entitled to a refund or replacement product from the place you purchased it from. If they do give you the "you technically purchased the key not the discs" bs, you just tell them that technically you didn't buy just the key, you bought the key along with 3 functioning discs as displayed/advertised on the exterior of the box. Politely remind them that failure to comply otherwise they're committing false advertising as the product is not fit for purpose or description.

Compensation is another ball-game and generally is never paid out if until its proven that you've actually suffered a loss (and time wasted is not a category).

Gamestop doesn't like to touch PC physical with a 10 foot pole. They're really strict on their return policies, but rightfully so do to the lengths some PC players will go to get stuff for free. It's sad honestly, but the PC crowd of course has a few bad apples that ruin it for everyone. Sorry Nexxus.
