Just curious, whats your current fave weapon/titan loadout at the mo? I'm having a blast with my current fun gun - the epg. One shot goodness, close quarter obliteration and snipery wonderment. Wingman elite secondary. Northstar (extra dash & viper thrusters).(having a break from ronin!)
Call me boring, but I am sticking with the flatline and devotion. Still going towards the 2,500 kills on each. But I am constantly exploring many different perks with the guns. I have dabbled with all the titans. I cannot leave my Ronin for very long. I am addicted to speed and killing Titans. The Northstar would be next go-to. I still need lots of practice with it to achieve a more than 2 minute half life.
Nothing wrong with that, the flatline is awesome and no amount of nerfing can kill the devotion, its still a satisfying beast. I love my ronin too, it and the northstar had a dash charge rate increase, thus my current dabble with n/star. Dashing round knuckle dusting pilots and long range sniping is proving fun.
Devotion, Hemlock, Spitfire, Flatline or G2, like to switch them up. MGL or Archer usually for secondary.
Mgl's still a great titan killer, and Ive also used archer lately, (I know Atrain is an archer advocate..), its had a small adjustment lately i believe. So glad the spitfires usable now, its a blast.
I need to uses the L-star some more, feels real satisfying. G2 is phenom as always.. and that r97 - gotta keep that quiet from respawn, dont want nerfs on that!!
L-Star feels like a quake/UT gun its all about aiming where the opponent is going. Ye if any gun is going to get a nerf soon its the R-97, its crazy good
Flatline or Spitfire (Attrition and Bounty Hunt) - Lstar or Alternator (HP and LTS) + Archer for this pilot
im using the C.A.R., it's easy to use to shoot and run, but the r201 is still better i'm also usng the Flatline too for short distances
I'm not saying. Every time I use something it gets nerfed..... after It gets nerfed, I will come back and say..
Ha, yeah, I've been on old school TF as well, so good to have my trusty R101 with silencer back and also my pub stomp stryder...love it.
Archer all the way. Gen 23 I think. I just miss the assuredness and lethality. Last night, it was like the OK corral. Waking down main street Angel city. The titan barely doomed still had enough life to meet me face to face with ugly intent. We stood there looking at each other solemnly feeling the moment, motionless. First I took a step as I loaded my last archer round, then he took a step raising his gun into firing position. As he inched closer with no sense of panic or fear (for a titan it would be yarded closer, but that sounds funny) my heart raced and I could feel the pulsations intensify from my chest to my neck and mouth. I could hardly breath. Each of us a step closer. The titan's first shot blew my sideways, but I was still alive. Each of us one step closer, ploddingly and intentionally, not a mad chaotic dash. Mano a Titano. Then I pulled the trigger and felt the gentle kick back and double thud. It was over. The titan crumbled in a flaming mass of regret. Just one little vignette which could have happened with any anti Titan weapon. But, you know if you can pull the trigger, it will be all over when you use the archer.
I missed something. What has made the spitfire useable. I just do not appreciate what makes it any better than the devotion? I have used this gun the least of all the guns, which is ironic as the spitfire in TF 1 was my go to gun. In TF 1 its disadvantages were outweighed by the Rodeo lethality. Now, it just seems like a second class devotion. Help me understand better as I would love to love it again.
