    hi here pilots,

    new FFN update:

    nothing concrete:

Hey friends, we’ve seen a lot of questions about what’s actually going on with the future of Titanfall and as we take a quick breather in between DLC drops, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on where we are at and what Respawn is up to.

Titanfall has always been and remains a huge part of our studio. With two highly-rated Titanfall games under our belts, we’re very proud of what we’ve made and the foundation we’ve laid for the franchise. Titanfall 2 remains healthy and growing with new players coming in every week. Right now we’re focused on the long term future of Titanfall and we’re excited about it. The core Titanfall team is working away on lots of cool stuff, whether that be DLC for Titanfall 2, action blocks and prototypes for future Titanfall projects, or other crazy science experiments. We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to take you, our Community, along for this ride.

As far as DLC for Titanfall 2; we’ve made some great improvements to the game and added rad content like Live Fire mode and Angel City, but we could have done a better job at communicating the breadth of stuff we planned to release. This is something that we will get better at and the studio remains committed to supporting Titanfall 2 with free content as well as new Prime Titans, store items, and more.

The next Frontier News Network will be out on March 23, and you’ll want to make sure to keep an eye out for it as we will be revealing the first details regarding our March DLC content. In April, we will provide a broader view at how we will be supporting Titanfall 2 over the next few months.

Outside of the studio, we are exploring new ideas that expand the Titanfall universe with partners like have partners like Nexon, working who is currently working on other Titanfall projects including a free-to-play version of Titanfall for Korea.

We’ve also teamed up to develop awesome mobile titles set in the world of Titanfall. They’ve got some exciting stuff in the works that we’ll be talking about in the near future.

Titanfall isn’t the only game being worked on here at Respawn. Stig Asmussen, who previously worked on the God of War franchise, has been leading a separate team that has been quietly working away on our Star Wars title. That project is still wrapped in secrecy and we won’t be talking about it for a while.

Lastly, we’ve been working on building new ways of getting more info and communications out to the Community. Next month, we’ll be kicking off a Q&A video series, developer blogs and more. Our goal is to start providing regular content that gives more insight into the people and work they do at Respawn and give a more satisfying feedback loop to players so that their voices feel heard.

We are incredibly passionate about Titanfall, and have lofty aspirations for what we want to achieve not only with the game but also with you, the Community. So as always, thanks for all the support!

What they're trying to say is that Titanfall 2 is not dead and is going to be supported, but they're juggling a lot of different projects right now. Aside from the DLC that I presume will be dropping this month, they're going to lay out a more comprehensive road map for the remainder of the year in April. They also acknowledge that their communication with the community has been lacking leading to a lot of confusion and uncertainty. Titanfall as a franchise sounds alive and well.

You know what this reminds me of? I cannot stand, actually I despise going to seminars where the speaker keeps telling you what they are going to tell you. It is infuriating. It is like, "Just F#@!ing tell us!!!" I despise this so much that I've actually paid $75 and drove an hour to go to a seminar and walked out after 45 minutes and just went home, because I'm not going to allow some jacka!# to waste 4 hours of my time, trying to build something up over and over and over again just so he can give me the entire content in the last 15 minutes of the day. No F#@!ing thanks!!! No matter what it is, it's not even worth it at that point, because you entirely sucked the life out of me. It is like Tom Hanks at around the 3:30 mark of this video.

Also, just a little reminder here Respawn. Since TF1 launched with 15 large, well designed maps and TF2 launched with 9 small, choke-pointed maps, we haven't received one shred of free content probably until TF2 has a minimum of 17 maps. We're currently sitting at 10 and we're approaching 5 months after launch.

Sounds like they are stalling for time.

T2 and the so called free DLC bullshit is the biggest rip off in gaming history. I'm a sucker....I paid $80 for a couple of lame Titan Camos that I never have once used. No map drops...except Angel City which really isn't a drop unless you are on PS4 and have never experienced Titanfall before.

Anyone else feel ripped off? Or is it just me?

    Hi,
I do not think any one but you would have paid money for extra camo's. Really Bro??? Are you serious? Wait a minute...whoops. I think I bought $4.00 for my Ronin the other night. Okay. So you and me are the only lame ones that gave into buying any amount of useless things we will never use. But we are soo cool aren/t we??

Be careful when purchasing a bridge here. They are in a constant state of disrepair. Don't fall for the salesman's 'this bridge is completely maintenance free" shtick. I purchased the Scorch Prime Titan and I have no regrets! :)

I bought the standard edition for both systems.
I bought the collectors edition for PS4.
I bought the deluxe edition for Xbox.
I also bought all camos/primes/banners and patches.
    Total around = $480

I feel like I've totally gotten my monies worth and then some and I'm still gonna be playing it. It's constant entertainment for me when I play so.... to each their own. None of it is about being cool, it's about supporting a developer of a game (combining TF1 and TF2) that I've spent countless days enjoying.

I am glad that so many of you still love the game as we do. I will play it until I drop. Still, the camo thing is a bunch of garbage. They have nothing to do with the game and if Respawn or whoever is worried about money, they could have spent it in better ways. Give me a break.

Well, I don't really love it. But on the other hand, I hate it less than I did when it first came out. I do hate looking at Gen 10.49/50. WTH... I sure would like to know what is going on because I am at that point where I am wondering whether they (Respawn) are either trying to fool me with finesse or baffle me with bullsh*t. Let's get this train back on the track please. I also noticed that now skins/camos/colors (at least for the CAR I was using at the time)are able to be bought using your credits. Has it always been like that or have I just been not noticing all this time.

Good point and I agree with both posts... it is frustrating to say the least.
