One thing I have noticed having used it all weekend to do the rodeo challenge, it is a laser beam over distance, I nailed some guys over carbine distance...its an awesome little thing...I liked it before...I like it even more now.
I already loved this gun. And with the new update I love that it gives me the option to mix it up. Before I was only limited to scatterfire now I have a few options I can move through
During the R97 regen challenges I noticed I'm pretty bad with SMGs. I need to work on my SMG strategies. For CQ i've been using the shotty or I'll just use the SP/auto pistol. Nice video.
The R97 with scatterfire is the only real counter to shotguns in close quarters, especially post patch.
with scatterfire absolutely...however, without scatterfire, its more stable on long shots than the carbine, i pinned a guy in the tower on colony with an r-97 and I just mashed the trigger...I should go back to the CAR though...haven't given it much love of late...
Yea before I only used it with the scatterfire mod...I didn't even know it could be that accurate lol.
Yea my favorite gun in the game is the shotty. Its really hit or miss between the two. Sometimes I will switch midgame based on what guns the opposing team is using. If I see the team is prodimently using the carbine I'll prob use the smg. If they are using cqc weapons i'll go with the shotty. I've also started using the stealth kit on my SMG loadouts to move aroudn the map with no sound. I've noticed that the higher tier players more then likely use headsets and it elimates their audio ques when trying to track me down.
True, but if your in the proper range the recoil shouldn't matter too much. And after the buff I find myself switching back and forth between scatterfire based on how open the map is. If its real close quarters its scatterfire all day, if its training ground i'll go with extended mags
Yea the car was my favorite gun for a while but I realized that my playstyle is much more cqc oriented. So much so that 3 of my main loadouts are r-97 w/ scatterfire, r97 w/o scatterfire, and shotgun lol
