So basically I just got this game a few days ago. When I started out the matches were fine. Fair as far as I could tell. I mean I sucked, but that's to be expected until you get the feel for a new game. Anyway, I started to get better and my player K/D ratio jumped up to around 1. Then I guess the matchmaking decided I was too good for players my own level (or even generation). Suddenly Now I'm playing against all higher generation players. Anywhere from 3-10. What the hell? I'm often one of 2 G1 players in the matches i play in. It caused my K/D ratio against players to drop to around 0.6 I understand the point of this matchmaking system, but there needs to be a ceiling or something. I just don't have a chance against G9 or 10 players. For a casual gamer that maybe don't know about how matchmaking works, or even know that it exists, They might suddenly think they're hopeless at the game and just give up. That hurts the player base (its already hard enough to get a match going at 3 a.m.) Anyway, I don't think Generation 1 players have any business getting matched up against Generation 5 or higher. It's pretty damn frustrating. Here is a screenshot of my Stats screen to illustrate the drastic downturn in my K/d stats (after matchmaking effed me over):
It's not just low levels, I'm gen 10 and I always get put with the low levels, my win percentage has dropped from almost 80% to 68% because of this. Haven't played a balanced game this week. Not much point to a game if you know who's gonna win before it starts. Even when I win too, the other team don't stand a chance. Some may like that but I find it boring winning because it's unbalanced and it's annoying to lose because of it.
I don t think so. IM a decent player and Ive won about 30% of my matches over the past few weeks. Im usually top 3. Its about to make me trade it in
Perfect example of why this needs to be fixed. I doubt we will see it though. Considering everything, the lack of content, the lack of support toward the game by the devs, I have a feeling this game was just a test run for Titanfall 2. I paid 10 extra dollars for a few maps that you have to jump in a separate que to play. What is that? Edit: Sorry I'm not trying to hate on the game. Its a pretty fun game, I'm just a little disappointed.
It's a shame to see people crying about not having a good win percentage or having things affect their win percentage. Come on, play for fun. Why do you care about a win percentage? You know if you've played well or not. If you have not played well, take it on the chin and move on to the next game. Sometimes you get unlucky, wrong place wrong time and all that. It's not the match makers fault.
First of all, thanks for the belittling comments. That really adds a lot to conversation, lol. Second. It's not a matter a matter of "Sometimes". If you'll look at the Picture above, Every match after a certain point has a negative k/d ratio. That is because every match I've played since, I was up against all higher generation players. Sometimes implies it only happens, well sometimes, not every time. Now, if you're done sucking EA's dick, can we stop belittling my post and trying to spin this issue. My original contention was not simply to bash on the game, but to point out that matchmaking should be improved by a ceiling to ensure that you couldn't get placed in matches with generation 10s as a generation 1. When that happens every single match and you get obliterated over and over, it is pretty damn hard to just have fun and "take it on the chin" (which you might like, but I'm not into that sort of thing).
JHK655 I feel ya pain lol, I'm a gen 10 and find that the matchmaking system is all over the place, from what I've seen in games it goes off rank not gen. I play LTS and find it very one sided, when I join the game teams look spread out, but once the first game is over, the system tends to put all the gen 1s in one team and all the high gens on the other, making most games one sided, plus I use only titan burn cards so my pack is full of them, I'm optimised for the game a gen 1 won't be and in most games doesn't stand a chance.
I agree. I got the game for free with my xbone so I figured I could stand to shell out for the DLC. Then I saw how they split it up and decided not to buy it (and doubt I ever will). For the lack of content of a full-priced, MP-only game the new maps should have been free of charge. But no, they charge for it AND split the community in the process. It's like a double-slap in the face to the fans/consumers. I'm disappointed. But if I had paid $60 I would be more than disappointed. And, no, I am not impressed with the matchmaking either. It's a MP only game, it should have the best match-making system in the world. Shameful.
