    Introduction(top)

Titanfall is a upcoming game developed by Respawn Entertainment & published by Electronic Arts. The game will release on March 11th, 2014 in North America, and March 13, 2014 in every other location. The game is available for the Xbox One & PC, and the Xbox 360 version will be available on March 25th, 2014.

Titanfall will be online multiplayer only where players fight on war torn planets running freely and piloting Titans. Players can run along on walls and use their "jetpack" to propel them to higher ground. The game uses Microsoft's Cloud Computing service known as Azure to help offload non-server related events to help increase players performance to the server and locally.

    Gameplay(top)

Part of the major attraction to Titanfall is that it'll introduce elements to the multiplayer arena we haven't seen before. Being able to use parkour-style running essentially anywhere on the map, up walls, along walls and even hang from walls while maintaining a smooth feel is astounding to say the least. Players also can pilot Titans that are just as agile as the players themselves except they cannot leave the ground but a few meter.

The servers currently operate with a maximum of 12 Human players, but players also get a AI boost with either Specters or Grunts depending on side chosen. Players start the match by jumping from their mother ship to either play the game mode of their choice.

    Development(top)

The game is developed by a newly created venture between former Infinity Ward developers (Jason West and Vince Zampella) that were fired by Activision for "breaches of contract and insubordination" in March 2010. They named their new development "Respawn Entertainment" fittingly and chose to release the game in March 4 years after being let go by Activision. The Xbox 360 version is being developed by Bluepoint Games.
