Anyone know if the loss in dps from using Rail Gun Mod can be negated with the Atlas Core Ability stacked with accelerator?
Um if you keep your damage core up and get crits, it is like shooting a fully charged railgun. But I wouldn't recommend using InstantShot since it is too weak when not using damage core
Yeah thats why im asking if the buff from damage core negates the loss when equiping rail mod or does it deliver more dps, stackd with accelerator to drive the recharge cycle faster I would be interested to see how it compares. Because in my opinion thats how you use a Rail Gun properly.
I'm assuming the accelerator you are talking about is the new Titan Burn card? If it is, the name speaks for itself. This card will only function as a Non-Instant shot set. Which means, even if your titan is equipped with the instant shot mod, it would make it factory issued with the ability to accelerate the charging.
No the Burn card if used with this set up would remove rail mod. The accelerator is The Core Accelerator, unlocks at level 47 and is part of a titans Tier 2 selects, this recharges your Titans Main Core Ability faster, which on an Atlas Titan is Core Ability-Damage Core.
Ahh I see. In that case, the Instant Shot plus Damage core will have lesser DPS than a fully charged non-damage core shot.
I have not verified it but here's a few stats which could prove it: Damage core : 1.4 Critical Hit : 1.5 Rail Gun Damage : 3000 (500 x 6 charge levels) Rail Gun Instant Shot Damage : 1200 Rail Gun Instant Shot w/Damage Core : 1680 (1200 x 1.4) Rail Gun Instant Shot w/Damage Core Critical Hit : 2520 (1200 x 1.4 x 1.5) Based on that, the instant with the damage core and a critical hit is still lesser than just a fully charged shot. On the other hand, I'm not sure if that's true but if you ADS the instant shot, it is supposed to charge it to the next level and possibly increase the damage. If it does, the increase could be 1200 + 500 or 1200 x 2 which is 2400. And if the damage increases 2x, then it's going to have a slightly higher damage (3360) than a fully charged shot (3000). Again, this is all theory. The only way this can be verified is by playing a private game.
