Spent the last couple of days playing the beta, and I'm hooked. The main game plays very well, and with 4 player co-op, it's even better with mates. The graphics are stunning and REALLY add to the atmosphere of the game. The Dark Zone is genius... This is where the good loot is. Once you find/collect it off dead bad guys, you need to get it to an extraction zone and call in a chopper. It takes about 1.45 mins for it to arrive, but it also notifies all the other players that it's incoming. Any loot you are carrying can be stolen by other players if they kill you before it's extracted. This leads to some SERIOUSLY tense stand offs around the zones. Kill an unprovoked agent and you become rogue. Kill too many and you become the target in a man hunt. Great fun! Roll on March!!!!!
It's pretty fun, although I am somewhat worried about how much content there will be. The devs do seem very passionate, so I hope this pans out well, though I will probably buy it regardless of the end result. I kinda wish that there was a guilt free way to do pvp though, I expected it to be GTAO all over again, but 90% of the players are just generally cool.
It's had a 24hr extension fella!! Going rogue in the DZ has a price though. You lose more DZ XP and credits if you die rogue. Keep it up and you and your party become the centre of a manhunt. You're constantly shown on everyone's map, and they get more XP for bringing you down. Risk and reward!!
It has the potential to be a LOT of fun. However, it has the potential to really fall flat on it's face as well. It doesn't seem like it's gonna be filled with that much content at all... hopefully that's not the case.
Yeah I know what you mean. It's been delayed long enough that I hope this isn't the case, but you know... Ubisoft...
Damn, the idea of darkzones and evac mixed with PvP and PvE was something many people wanted in Destiny. Great idea incorporated, but we'll have to see the whole game. Hopefully it doesn't pull a Destiny on us.
The last night of the beta was great. A lot of guys started kicking off in the DZ. One team of 3 were really laying into folk, so me and a mate decided to take them on. Didn't realise the whole of New York was backing them up...
Well at least there's some good news, I heard that most of the roaming AI in the open world have been disabled for the beta, so hopefully the world will be more populated in the full release. Also an open beta is coming.
Oh well, there's already an official one for it so it doesn't matter too much. On the other hand, have you tried getting official endorsement? This forum is practically of professional quality.
Some of the Titanfall devs definitely check this forum. I've verified a few of their accounts through private messages, so I'm glad that they stop by to check the pulse of the community. I'm really excited about the sequel, and I'm hoping to have a lot more developer interaction here for you guys with Titanfall 2.
