Trailers are always really enticing these days. Until something comes out to top wall running and Titan like variety it will be hard to move on. Not to mention the speed of a stim tactical ability with a stim burn card on top. By the time someone figures something out TF 2 hopefully will be out and re establish the new standard. However I must admit, I am looking for variety and do need something to fall back on. On the other hand, I do not have the time to do much else once my TF addiction is fed.
I've seen the multiplayer beta, and that looked alright. Halo is what it was, but much like the magpie of European folklore, I've moved on from the shiny sandbox experience Halo 3 sold me on. Halo Custom Edition is a hell lot of fun but I mostly have to play with Mexicans, which I have no problem with, knowing a bit of Spanish and all. It's a shame not many other people still play that game though. The new Halo games are good but seem to be moving more toward, in terms of gameplay design, to COD, rather than Halo, which is disappointing. I don't own an Xbox One myself, and my '360 needs servicing (out of warranty, but I can swap a Benq/Lite-on ODD, no problem) given that I don't feel a strong preference for any other games on the Xbox One (Sunset Overdrive looks great though, proving Insomniac' continue to hold up their legacy of great platformers), I will be sticking to my PC platform and will continue to play Titanfall, Far Cry 4 when I get a graphics card, and GTA 5 when that comes out (played the Xbox 360 version, it's great).
I want to be excited. I really do but I don't trust those developers anymore. Halo anniversary had online co op problems that they turned a blind eye to. Halo 4 was limited in everything except matchmaking. And MCC still has problems. I really hope Halo 5 lives up to what people have been saying. If not then it may finally be time for me to give up on halo after the many years of enjoyment
I won't be pre-ordering Halo 5. Halo:MCC and Destiny has made me weary of pre-ordering. All those glitches and disappointments... getting fooled by millions of dollars worth of ads that can't live up to the hype... I'll stay away for a week. See if it runs smoothly and has enough content. Hopefully my friend doesn't spoil the story for me.
Are you meaning games in general being overhyped or games by the same developer being overhyped. In which case Bungie didn't make MCC or Halo 5. That was 343I.
Watchdogs from Ubisoft needs added to that list. Put it on the top actually. And slot battlefield 4 nearer the bottom.
I would put BF4 at the top and I actually really liked Watch Dogs. Enough to complete it 3 times. One thing that recent game publishers aren't getting is that "if it's late it's late once, if it's bad it's bad forever." AC Unity had some problems at launch too. Pretty much most of what released late last year.
I agree that the game wasn't totally flawed, but the hype and me following it for over 2 years didn't help! It didn't deliver on what it initially was going to be. Instead it was a poor mans GTA where you had to tap X from time to time. And I've never been less bothered about a lead character before. I guess it wasn't the 'next gen game' I was hoping it to be.
just watched some competitive beta of halo 5, I am a complete halo noob but it looks like a ton of fun, good and long time to kill, no melting like in CoD...
I'm not sure I liked the latest video... Still unsure whether I'll like it or not.. but I'm definitely getting it regardless. The campaigns are usually awesome.
I love the look of Halo 5. It removes the Halo 4 CoD bullcrap, but keeps the mobility and fast paced action while keeping to Halo roots. I just think that the BR should have a faster TTK in CQC than the SMG if you perfect 4 shot. That skillgap would be nice.
Guardians is out at the end of the month I've watched some Warzone (12v12vBots) maps, and I'm starting to really get the Halo bug back. Looks as though it could be a winner....
Only play Halo MCC for the split screen co op campaign with my 6 yr old son, some of the best video gaming times of all time, but with this feature out, will definitely be done with Master Chief now. Couldn't go back to Halo MP after playing Titanfall MP. It would feel like someone drugged me with benzo's and took away my favorite 50 foot titanium toy!
Different rubs for different times my man! Driving a hog on CTF with the flag carrier in the passenger seat and a mate gunning is a euphoric experience
You mean people actually have their mic's on in a MP game? That sounds like teamwork, I've heard 3 voices so far on Titanfall, one of them was a dad helping his little girl with a math problem. Not judging, better than the voices of my 3, 6, and 7 yr old in round 2 of a battle royale MMA match in the next room.
