This is a very interest approach to solving the issue of hackers. http://www.titanfall.com/news/we-hate-cheaters-just-as-much-as-you-do Basically, all players who've cheated will now be flagged as such and will only be able to play against other cheaters. I imagine Respawn waited until they found enough cheaters that the cheaters will actually have other cheaters to play against. I imagine aimbot versus aimbot to be hilarious to watch and a great way to show cheaters how annoying they are.
Reminds me of the AI versus AI betting they have at http://www.twitch.tv/saltybet. They play some game called MUGEN and they pit AIs developed by competitors against each other. Then, viewers can make bets on who they think will win.
Free new game modes and now this?? Respawn proves once again that they're on point and putting a new spin on the FPS genre. GREAT way to punish those feeble minded cheaters. Fucking brilliant, man.
That has to be absolutely the most BRILLIANT idea to address cheaters yet!!!!! Don't ban them, just make them play against each other. Here's to Respawn..........................
Double Helix did the same with rage quitters in Killer Instinct- put them in what was called 'jail' and matched them mostly with others in 'jail'. ... System was glitched for the first few weeks though- and it jailed pretty much everyone.
A way to force rage quitters to play with rage quitters? I'd like to see that in EVERY game that I play.
While a good idea, I'm calling it now. In about 2 weeks people will still be complaining the game is utterly infested by cheaters. *trollface*
I read at another "site"............they referred to the ban as "Douche Bag Island"................ I think of it as a ........."Time Out Chair for Gamers Acting Like Adolescents"..........................punishment should fit the crime
I just expressed this thought on the PC-only forums... I'm hoping FairFight is better than PunkBuster. PunkBuster was very intrusive and had a lot of false positives. If FairFight has the same issue, then I can see an issue with having a permanent flag on you for a software mistake.
